DIRECTION
A large part of the work I've done in my career beyond creating and shipping product has involved storytelling: spending time on set as a producer, and various forms of direction, from working directly with actors to providing technical direction that ensures clients and partners are able to get the best result from what goes in front of the camera.
The last twelve years has given me a tremendous opportunity to discover just how much I enjoy being on a film set. I’ve gotten to work with work with seasoned performers who literally have more screentime than I’ve been alive, and first timers nervous enough that we needed duplicate wardrobe to deal with nervous sweat stains. As a creative director, whose job it is to take an abstract idea and turn it into a reality, nothing is quite as exciting as working with people, bringing the things that make then wonderful and unique to the forefront. Every job is an opportunity to make somebody’s story shine, and no story is too small.
